About The Position
Pilot Company is looking for a sharp, curious Financial Analyst to join their Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is responsible for providing insights behind trends and supporting senior leaders in making strategic decisions. The analysis produced will influence company strategy, investments, growth, and success. The ideal candidate loves turning raw data into a clear point of view and wants a seat at the table where real decisions are made.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Solid grasp of data analytics and reporting.
- Working knowledge of financial, reporting, and database systems (e.g., Oracle EPM, Infor FSM, Tableau).
- Legal right to work in the United States without additional sponsorship.
- Local presence in Knoxville, TN or surrounding communities.

Responsibilities
- Build and refine financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
- Analyze historical performance to identify trends and predict future outcomes.
- Partner with department leaders to shape budgets and track performance against plan.
- Flag significant variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver deep-dive analysis (actuals vs. budget vs. forecast) to pinpoint drivers of results.
- Translate insights into recommendations to improve profitability and performance.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing insights on cost optimization, pricing, and investment opportunities.
- Model scenarios and conduct sensitivity analyses to reveal potential upside and risk.
- Craft clear and compelling reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting that leadership can trust.
