About The Position

Join our Capital Management team of actuaries and help shape how we measure and manage risk and capital across the business. You’ll support economic capital modelling (ECM) & regulatory capital modelling (RBC), and work closely with the team to turn model insights into real business decisions - across areas like reinsurance, capital allocation, and planning. This is a hands on analytical role with focus on capital modelling processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of ECM objectives to ensure alignment with business targets and compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Support regulatory capital modelling.
  • Perform appropriate checks within processes to minimize inaccuracies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate understanding of business unit functions and the impact of ECM advice.
  • Assist in the calibration and validation of technical models.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
  • Perform analysis on capital needs, support capital stress tests, and report on capital metrics.
  • Use models across the business, provide analytical advice, and support risk functions.
  • Assist in the overall execution of QBE Group strategy related to Capital Modelling.
