The Analyst I in Research Grade Quality Control is responsible for performing various QC test methods related to mRNA products to support research grade (RG) manufacturing, technical operations, and research and development (R&D) in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree is required (scientific field preferred).
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory practices.
  • Ability to operate precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Required to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and use arms, hands, and fingers for various activities.
  • This position may stand or remain sedentary for long periods of time.
  • This position routinely works with large pieces of equipment.
  • This position works in a Research Grade lab setting and may encounter various solutions and chemicals and will be responsible for activities related to biological processes such as bacterial growth.
  • This position uses standard laboratory equipment such as pipettes, centrifuges, glass ware, shake flasks, fermenters, fume hoods, and computers.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of QC testing methods preferred.
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily work instructions and organize individual daily workflow
  • Independently perform and document established QC test methods according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain inventory, reagents, buffers, and other lab consumables
