About The Position

Under the supervision of the Manager, Global Regulatory Compliance, the Compliance Analyst, Global Regulatory Compliance will support the Canadian client management compliance program by conducting client onboarding and account maintenance reviews, performing AML/ATF and client screening checks, coordinating remediation of documentation deficiencies, and monitoring compliance-related employee training requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping ensure regulatory requirements are met through accurate recordkeeping, timely follow-up with stakeholders and a strong attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (finance, business administration, accounting, etc.).
  • 1-2 years of experience in a regulatory compliance (or similar) role, preferably in the investment management industry.
  • Basic understanding of regulatory compliance concepts, including AML/ATF, KYC/client onboarding, and employee compliance training requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous priorities.
  • Ability to exercise diligence, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework related to securities, investment management, AML/ATF, or financial services is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Review client onboarding and account maintenance documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify deficiencies in client documentation, coordinate remediation efforts with stakeholders, track outstanding items, and ensure issues are resolved promptly and to a high standard.
  • Conduct client screening and other AML/ATF-related compliance checks in accordance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate, track, and monitor mandatory compliance-related employee training, including follow-up activities to ensure completion within prescribed timelines.
  • Review and challenge Canadian marketing collateral and social media posts to ensure alignment with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Assist in responding to compliance-related inquiries regarding client documentation, marketing materials, and employee training requirements.
