About The Position

RBC Capital Markets Global Investment Banking division is seeking an Analyst to join the Mining and Metals team in Toronto. This role involves developing and maintaining complex financial models, supporting transaction structuring and execution, performing financial and written analysis of companies and industries, contributing to client meetings and presentations, and conducting research to analyze market trends and future opportunities. The Analyst will also contribute to the execution of equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory assignments.

Requirements

Experience in investment banking, private equity, equity research, corporate development or accounting
Undergraduate degree program in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a quantitative field from a leading university
Strong quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A high level of attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment

Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining complex financial models
