Analyst, GAM Strategy
About The Position
The GAM Strategy team serves as a trusted partner to senior leaders within Global Asset Management (GAM), providing dedicated support for the development and execution of GAM’s highest-priority strategic initiatives. The team drives alignment on strategic goals, facilitates decision-making on key priorities, and ensures effective tracking and reporting of progress. Acting as a central hub for collaboration, the team engages with stakeholders across RBC to advance GAM’s strategic agenda. The GAM Strategy Analyst will be responsible for supporting strategy development, creating materials/ reporting to inform executive decision making, tracking strategic priorities and supporting employee engagement events & activities.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Math, Engineering or Liberal Arts.
- 1 - 3 years of management consulting, corporate strategy, investment management, or related experience, in Financial Services
- Strong organizational skills / project management experience
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong presentation and written and verbal communication skills to drive impact and influence

- Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to build expertise in AI-enhanced analytics
Responsibilities
- Lead quarterly strategy/ QBR reporting process in support of achieving strategic objectives, business performance goals and financial targets
- Support GAM employee engagement initiatives, including on-the-ground support of Toronto-based events (e.g., meeting room set-up, virtual dial-in support, speaker and attendee greeting)
- Develop materials to clearly communicate and present the GAM strategy across a variety of forums
- Support the execution of the GAM’s strategy, including creation of strategic narratives, roadmaps and progress reports
- Enable informed executive decision-making through the production of competitive analyses and ad-hoc research pieces that describe the industry and competitive landscape, emerging trends and business opportunities
