In the first 6 months, the person in the role will: -Independently manage the FP&A/M responsibilities for an assigned portfolio of departments, programs, projects, or funding sources. -Serve as a trusted financial partner to assigned budget holders, providing timely analysis, guidance, and follow-up. -Produce accurate and timely monthly and quarterly reporting, forecasts, variance analyses, and other financial deliverables with limited supervision. -Understand how activity within the assigned portfolio contributes to the broader organizational financial picture. -Identify financial risks, trends, data issues, and emerging variances and proactively raise them for discussion. -Contribute to improvements in reporting, tools, templates, and FP&A/M processes that increase efficiency and usefulness. In the first year the role will: -Demonstrate full ownership of the financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and reporting responsibilities for their assigned portfolio. -Successfully support a full annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, including collaboration with budget holders and consolidation of financial information. -Provide thoughtful analysis that moves beyond reporting what happened to explaining why it happened, what it means, and what may happen next. -Anticipate financial risks and opportunities and provide actionable insights to FP&A/M leadership and business partners. -Develop strong credibility with stakeholders as a responsive, knowledgeable, and solutions-oriented financial partner. -Identify and implement meaningful improvements to reporting, analytics, processes, or tools that strengthen the FP&A/M function. -Demonstrate the flexibility to shift between detailed analysis, broader organizational priorities, independent work, and team-based initiatives as business needs evolve.
