What you’ll do Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: Provide support to production teams to help achieve production goals. Support the fostering of a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Implement containment actions short / long-term to address any deviations from the design of the vehicle / quality of parts. Collaborate closely with the body production and maintenance teams. Address equipment and communication issues promptly to minimize production delays. Ensure seamless integration between production, maintenance, and other relevant departments. Facilitate regular meetings between teams to discuss ongoing challenges and improvement opportunities. Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in body production and maintenance. Conduct cross-departmental analysis of product launches to identify areas for improvement. Recognize and rectify bottleneck situations to optimize production flow. Provide instruction and guidance on required techniques and regulations. Track and coordinate special build events within the Pilot Hall body Team. In this position, you will be responsible for all items above and training team members. Location & Travel Expectations: This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina. This role requires daily attendance in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Requirements

  • 5+ years professional experience with expertise in car production, including ability to achieve stable production processes.
  • Bachelor’s in mechanical, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience in Automotive engineering.
  • Skillful at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships.
  • Creative and strategic problem solver who exercises sound judgment.
  • High proficiency with DFEMA, PFEMA, and control plans.
  • Metrology equipment knowledge and measurement report utilization to drive product improvements utilizing shims, to fixtures, jigs, equipment to meet quality requirements within manufacturing,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 8D or similar method problem solving experience.
  • Familiarity withs statistical process control / control charts.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is a plus.
