We are looking for a Senior Trade Execution Coordinator to support execution of bulk agricultural commodity export shipments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing complex international transactions in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting/Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting bulk vessel export execution activities within agricultural commodity markets.
  • Working knowledge of trade finance instruments including letters of credit, documentary collections, and international payment processes.
  • Experience utilizing AI-enabled productivity tools, workflow automation, or operational reporting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade execution processes, export documentation requirements, and commodity shipment coordination.
  • Experience managing complex international transactions involving multiple stakeholders, counterparties, and operational constraints.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and trade execution systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • In-depth understanding of the contract creation process and governing trading roles
  • In-depth understanding and use of compliance tools and regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of letters of credit and their applications, rules and guidelines from Corporate Finance, foreign countries etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of a diverse list of agricultural commodities, products and their governing contracts
  • Spanish language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of complex CFR and FOB export contracts involving bulk agricultural commodities across international trade lanes.
  • Review and interpret governing contracts including NAEGA, GAFTA, and FOSFA to support execution decisions, issue resolution, and risk mitigation.
  • Prepare, review, and issue export documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, phytosanitary certificates, certificates of origin, and related shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with internal CHS teams including Merchandising, Logistics Operations, Accounting, Treasury, Trade Compliance, Credit & Risk, and Legal to support successful contract execution.
  • Manage communication and coordination with external stakeholders including freight forwarders, vessel agents, independent surveyors, fumigation companies, terminals, banks, and contract brokers to support execution continuity and issue resolution.
  • Monitor shipment execution milestones, proactively identify operational or contractual risks and support resolution of documentation discrepancies, delays, claims, and customer-facing exceptions while protecting CHS contractual interests.
  • Support laytime review activities, contract settlement processes, invoicing, and payment follow-up activities associated with export transactions.
  • Maintain accurate contract and shipment information within trade execution systems to support operational controls, reporting accuracy, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead or support process improvement initiatives focused on execution efficiency, operational controls, shipment visibility, documentation quality, and workflow optimization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced Trade Execution Coordinators and support onboarding and knowledge-sharing activities across the team.
