About The Position

Join a fast-growing company that's transforming the industry! Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT) is a technology-based services firm that helps institutional investors identify, file claims, and collect funds made available in securities class action settlements globally. As an Analyst, Eligibility and Damages, you will be responsible for securities trading data processing and execution of financial loss calculations. Your specific duties will include: Financial Transaction Data Analytics: Transactions and holdings data analysis, Data reconciliation, Data gap identification, Solution engineering, Ad hoc analysis of financial transactions, cost accounting, and loss calculations, Data analysis to ensure accuracy and quality of data supporting eligibility to recover funds in connection with the settlement of lawsuits and enforcement actions. Securities Class Action Analytics and Operational Support: Write and execute stored procedures and database processes to calculate relevant financial losses (including recognized loss and market loss), Manage inbound client data process and communicate internally, Communicate results of client data analysis to non-technical client service professionals to facilitate client decision-making. Other: Test software functionality and performance during development projects as needed, Support corporate data security initiatives, Financial data generation for new development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major or concentration in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, or a related data analytics field
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency with SQL
  • Demonstrated proficiency with regard to financial terms and concepts, including an understanding of financial instruments and/or the stock markets
