About The Position

Join our team as an Analyst, Derivatives Products, where you will play a pivotal role in providing quantitative support for strategic initiatives within Canada’s futures and options markets. In this role, you will perform sophisticated statistical analysis on exchange data, translating complex datasets into relevant business insights and logical narratives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, presenting your findings to drive recommendations on market design and supporting the growth of our derivatives ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Financial Engineering, Econometrics, or Actuarial Sciences.
  • Proficiency with quantitative tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL).
  • Ability to conduct open-ended analysis and remain effective in "gray zones" where procedural paths may not be immediately obvious.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with public speaking and a desire to sharpen presentation abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational/planning skills, and the ability to maintain harmonious interpersonal relationships.
  • Curious, self-driven, and a continuous learner.
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is essential for this position, as it involves producing documentation for external and internal stakeholders who communicate in both languages.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in finance, specifically within the derivatives sector.
  • A Master’s degree in an economic, financial, or technical field.
  • CFA or CSI designations.
  • A genuine interest in equity options, futures, financial markets, and the application of statistics and quantitative tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research and inquiries, collaborating with product owners and sales teams to apply methodologies and deliver results that align with core business needs.
  • Help the business interpret market shifts and operational changes by providing quantitative and graphical analysis on product usage, client outcomes, and the impact of commercial activities (e.g., incentive programs and fee structures).
  • Produce and update high-impact corporate and client presentations; attend client calls to deepen market knowledge and present analytical results to broad stakeholder groups.
  • Generate revenue projections and scenario models, providing essential forecasts to assist with annual budgeting and strategic prioritization.
  • Support growth initiatives by attending corporate meetings and building strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of enterprise initiatives and prepare communication materials regarding their predicted impacts.
  • Conduct periodic statistical reporting to identify market trends and fulfill specific client data requests.
  • Maintain essential quantitative documentation that supports daily operations and internal long-term planning.
