About The Position

This role supports QDAS and potentially other COTS or applications. The responsibilities can vary depending on whether the focus is on tech debt remediation (e.g., QDAS V13 -> V16 upgrades, Windows and SQL upgrades) or launch tasks (e.g., requirement planning, system configuration, user acceptance testing). The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing launch, deployment, or plant-support environment, possess strong communication skills to bridge gaps between quality teams and suppliers, and be adept at troubleshooting structured file-based data flows. The ability to quickly learn specialized workflows and application details in a production support setting is essential.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing launch, deployment, or plant-support environment where priorities move quickly and issues often need practical troubleshooting.
  • Able to remote into production servers or gage PCs and confidently navigate Windows, shared folders, permissions, and basic server-side troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills, especially the ability to bridge requirements between quality teams that own the data and suppliers who configure the equipment and file outputs.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting structured file-based data flows and working through issues methodically with plant users, suppliers, and internal support teams.
  • Able to ramp quickly on a specialized workflow and learn niche application details in a production support environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure to QDAS, qs-STAT, AQDEF, or similar structured quality-data/file-format environments.
  • Experience in launch, deployment, controls, quality, execution, or project-based manufacturing support roles.
  • Working familiarity with SQL for basic troubleshooting or understanding how uploaded data is consumed in the qs-STAT environment.
  • Light scripting ability in PowerShell or Bash for troubleshooting, file handling, or repeatable support tasks.
  • Experience supporting vendor-integrated plant systems where data moves from equipment PCs to centralized servers or databases.
