About The Position

Oliver Wyman is a global management consultancy that works with clients across various industries and organizations to address their most significant challenges. The Data and Analytics (DNA) division, established in 2017, is a rapidly growing global team of quantitative analytics specialists. They collaborate with colleagues across the firm, working in diverse industries such as Financial Services, Climate & Sustainability, Energy, Retail, and Transportation. As a member of the DNA team, you will collaborate with colleagues and clients from day one, helping to solve pressing challenges. The team develops tailored solutions, designs analytical approaches, implements prototypes, assesses effectiveness, and engages in discussions to share ideas, all contributing to impactful client results. Notable projects include developing NLP-based machine learning toolkits, modeling portfolio decarbonization strategies, optimizing promotional programs, validating GenAI chatbots, developing probability of default and loss models, identifying supply chain risks, developing next best action models, performing commercial due diligence on AI systems, implementing AI for billing discrepancies, assessing AI readiness for private equity firms, and restructuring pricing propositions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD in a quantitative discipline from a top academic program (Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Natural Sciences, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • Data-driven mindset and proficiency with numbers.
  • Ability to explain sophisticated data science concepts in an understandable manner to clients and colleagues.
  • Programming skills in Python or R (ideal, but eagerness to learn is key).
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and resilience in a creative and constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written).

Nice To Haves

  • Interest and experience in private equity and private markets is a plus.
