About The Position

As a member of Honeybee Robotics within Blue Origin’s Motion Control Business Unit, the Analyst - Config & Data Management II supports configuration and data management for aerospace motion control hardware and associated engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle. The role helps ensure product information is accurate, controlled, and traceable across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality. It supports engineering change implementation and maintains product data in ERP, PDM, and document management systems. The position is an individual contributor role based in Longmont, Colorado. The successful candidate will maintain workload commitments while adapting to changing program priorities and coordinating across teams. Travel is expected to be less than 5%, and relocation assistance is available.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, information systems, business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
At least 2 years of experience in configuration management, engineering change control, technical data management, or a closely related discipline within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

Experience with IFS ERP and familiarity with its relationships to engineering PDM and CAD data management systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, with the ability to turn technical information into clear, accessible instructional content.
Familiarity with aerospace motion control products, such as actuators, motors, controllers, precision mechanisms, or integrated electromechanical assemblies.
CMII training or certification, or familiarity with EIA-649 configuration management standards and AS9100 quality management systems.

Responsibilities

Coordinate change requests and change orders from initiation through closure, ensuring supporting documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with established procedures.
Create and maintain part records, engineering revisions, and controlled technical documents within ERP and related systems, including engineering-to-manufacturing transfers and approved change effectivity.
Work with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to identify change impacts to parts, assemblies, inventory, and open orders; communicate required disposition actions and track implementation.
Maintain configuration baselines and revision histories, reconcile data discrepancies across systems, and escalate unresolved issues.
Support the development and maintenance of training materials, work instructions, and job aids for configuration management processes and their use within the ERP system.
Maintain ongoing workload commitments while responding to changing program priorities, coordinating competing demands, and communicating impacts to timelines.
Identify and implement approved improvements to data quality, workflows, and process consistency.
