About The Position

The Global Risk & Compliance Organization (GRC) is an independent risk management function, led by the Chief Risk Officer, with the objective of ensuring that American Express operates in a safe, sound, and fully compliant manner with all applicable regulatory expectations. GRC creates and maintains the overall risk management framework, performs independent risk management assessments, and monitors applicable risks. The Compliance Risk Management team facilitates and monitors the implementation of effective compliance risk management programs throughout the organization, and oversees risk ownership throughout business units, products, and processes. The objective of Compliance Risk Management Governance team is to develop, oversee and strengthen the organization’s Compliance Risk Management framework to ensure that governance structures, policies, and procedures are robust, effective, and align with regulatory requirements and best practices. The Audit & Regulatory Engagement team supports the Compliance Risk Management internal and external exams and audits, ensures timely closure of findings, and educates partners with an examiner and regulator mindset. The Audit & Regulatory Engagement Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Compliance Risk Management Program (CRMP) by coordinating and managing regulatory examinations, internal audits, and other CRMP-related reviews. This role will report to a Senior Manager and will work closely with Compliance, Regulatory Exam Lifecycle Management, US Regulatory Relations, and Operational Risk stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate responses to regulatory requests, identify areas for process improvements, and enhance the organizations regulatory readiness.
