About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno Human Resources Department is recruiting a Classification and Compensation Analyst. The Analyst plays an important role in supporting effective job design, classification, and compensation practices across the organization. Using a variety of methodologies such as desk audits, interviews, and position comparison, the Analyst gathers information and evaluates duties, responsibilities, and organizational structures to ensure positions are accurately classified. With a strong understanding of higher education operations, the Analyst partners with departments to provide guidance on job design, classification options, and opportunities for organizational improvement. In addition to classification analysis, the role conducts compensation-related analysis for both current employees and potential hires, helping maintain equitable and competitive pay practices. As experience develops, the role assumes responsibility for increasingly complex positions and organizational studies contributing to workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • High School Graduation and four (4) years of relevant work experience; OR Associate’s Degree and three (3) years of relevant work experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of relevant work experience; OR Master’s Degree and one (1) year of relevant work experience.
  • Related Experience: Human resource operations or business analysis
