About The Position
CreditSights is seeking an Analyst to join the A&D / Transports team in New York. CreditSights offers award-winning, unbiased research on global credit markets to empower clients' investment decisions. The role involves supporting the Aerospace & Defense / Transports coverage effort through sector and market analysis, monitoring credit fundamentals, maintaining models, canvassing news sources, performing relative value analysis, writing research reports, preparing slide decks, and participating in client meetings. Applicants need strong numeracy, critical thinking, and writing skills, a demonstrated interest in capital markets, and comfort using AI tools for workflow optimization.
Requirements
- Strong numeracy, critical thinking, and writing skills
- Demonstrated interest in the capital markets
- Comfort using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) to accelerate, optimize, and/or automate workflows
- Educated to a bachelor’s degree level or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Comfort using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of financial markets and experience analyzing capital markets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, with a methodical approach to work and excellent attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- 1-3 years of prior experience in a credit research, economics, investment banking, or debt capital markets role
- CFA charterholder or demonstrated progress toward attaining a CFA charter
- Proficiency in Bloomberg and/or FactSet
- Capable of producing high-quality outputs under pressure and in a timely manner
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Aerospace & Defense / Transports coverage effort
- Sector and market analysis
- Monitoring credit fundamentals
- Maintaining models using public and proprietary data
- Canvassing multiple news sources for relevant stories and information
- Relative value analysis across companies
- Writing research reports (thematic research and company-specific reports)
- Preparing slide decks
- Participating in meetings with an array of client types
- Contribute to data analysis and writing of research reports
- Build, update, and maintain models and databases
- Interpret credit market data for portfolio recommendations
- Monitor debt capital market conditions across US investment grade, high yield, and broadly syndicated loans
- Prepare presentation materials for clients/participate in client meetings
