About The Position

Broadcom is looking for an Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer who designs, simulates, and optimizes high-performance transistor-level circuits, data converters, and high-speed I/Os, and power management for advanced semiconductor process nodes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (MSEE) or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering preferred, or a Bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience depending on the seniority level (Staff, Senior, or Lead).
  • Strong working knowledge of Cadence design tools (like Cadence Virtuoso and Analog Artist) and MATLAB.

Responsibilities

  • Design analog blocks (such as ADCs, DACs, bandgaps, LDOs, and PLLs) using transistor-level and behavioral modeling tools
  • Draw or oversee physical custom layouts, running SPICE and post-layout extractions to minimize parasitics.
  • Characterize integrated circuit (IC) performance in the lab using test equipment, debug hardware issues, and collaborate with automatic test equipment (ATE) engineers.
