About The Position

The ideal Amusement Team Member will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. This position exists to provide our guests with an excellent customer service experience by operating and interacting with various carnival style games and coin operated amusements. This service is to be provided in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and policies of the Dollywood Company. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Requirements

  • Must be minimum of 14 years of age
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in their work
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined
  • Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information

  • Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting
  • Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfaces
  • This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
  • This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat. Employees may be required to work indoors and outdoors
  • This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved methods
  • Must have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties
  • Able to sit and/or stand for long/short periods

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 6 months of sales experience preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a team environment, highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operates various carnival style games in an outdoor environment by interacting with guests, setting and cleaning props, and celebrating wins
  • Explains the rules and prizes for each game
  • Describes different sales packages to guests and demonstrates proficient selling skills
  • Records the number of games played and the number of prizes awarded
  • Interacts with guests through the use of microphones and various props
  • Manages the stock levels and merchandising of any assigned games throughout the workday
  • Assists in the maintenance and daily operation of any assigned location by ensuring cleanliness and display preparation functions are up to company standards
  • Demonstrates an ability to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules
  • Actively participates in the success of the Games and Amusements team through teamwork, service, and respect for others
  • Assists the immediate leadership by communicating any needed product, equipment, supplies, and helping to reduce waste
  • Adheres to all Amusements safety guidelines and report any safety issues to the immediate leadership
  • Protects the privacy, safety, and security of our guests and coworkers by completing PCI compliance and other required training
  • Must be willing to have fun and create a fun and friendly environment for others
