About The Position

LGC is seeking an experienced AmpSeq Programme Director to lead and manage its programme of work. This role involves overseeing critical components and solutions for high-growth application areas within human healthcare and applied market segments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of products used in genomic analysis and quality assurance applications, which are embedded in customer workflows from discovery to commercial manufacture. The role supports customers in bringing new diagnostics and therapies to market, advancing research and development, optimizing food production, and monitoring food and environmental quality. LGC has a rich scientific heritage of over 175 years and a strong track record of innovation and strategic acquisitions, fostering deep customer and industry relationships. The company's manufacturing sites in the US and Europe are ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 compliant, supporting a wide range of NGS workflow components and kits, including magnetic beads, oligos, enzymes, and library prep kits. Customization and bulk (OEM) manufacturing of reagents, such as key NGS enzymes for high-volume applications, are also core capabilities.

Requirements

  • Current U.S. work authorization.
  • Experience in leading and managing programmes of work.
  • Expertise in genomic analysis and quality assurance applications.
  • Understanding of customer workflows from discovery to commercial manufacture.
  • Ability to support customers in market entry for diagnostics and therapies.
  • Experience in advancing research and development.
  • Knowledge of food production optimization.
  • Skills in monitoring and enhancing food and environmental quality.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Understanding of NGS workflows and components (magnetic beads, oligos, enzymes, library prep kits).
  • Experience with customization and bulk (OEM) manufacturing of reagents.
