About The Position

GDIT is seeking an Ammunition Manager Assistant to support the Customer's equipment operations and missions. This role will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter by making a personal impact on challenging projects and growing a rewarding career. The Ammunition Manager Assistant will assist the U.S. Government with supply, inventory, and stockpile management for all U.S. Army ammunition stocks in USCENTCOM. This includes managing storage levels, establishing and setting theater stockage objectives, training ammunition supply support, central requisitioning, force modernization, asset stratification, asset movement, disposition, re-distribution, retrograde, call forward, foreign military sales, maintenance, demilitarization, and disposal instructions. The position also involves providing management and asset visibility through various ammunition management automation sites and systems, identifying shortages and recommending resupply actions, monitoring on-hand stocks for theater war reserves, operational and training ammunition, and maintaining accountability and visibility of all munitions within US CENTCOM. Additionally, the role requires tracking ammunition shipments by air, ground, and sea vessel within the theater, providing reports on ammunition stock levels, and troubleshooting issues related to Class V schedule shipments. The Ammunition Manager Assistant will also receive, evaluate, and approve/disapprove Ammunition Basic Load (ABL) requests after analyzing unit authorizations and tracking their status. This role serves as a subject matter expert in ammunition operations and contingency planning.

Requirements

  • Five years of Theater/Operational level Conventional Ammunition Management experience, to include the distribution and accountability of ammunitions.
  • Ten years of technical experience with ammunition management and theater distribution.
  • Proficient in Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS) Operations, procedures, and practices, to include maintenance of SAAS connectivity, processing of Daily Cycles and Reports, support of normal inventory operations, and proper accountability of stocks.
  • Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • High level of attention to detail due to the sensitivity of the information.
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, or any other system required to perform assigned duties.
  • Knowledge on the Total Ammunition Management Information System and Munitions History Program (MHP), National Level Ammunition Capability (NLAC), and understanding of the associated programming, funding, manufacturing, distribution and storage systems to project, monitor and resolve problems with ammunition resources.
  • Communicates intent through clear, concise, and confident guidance via phone, email, or in person.
  • Must be able to meet CENTCOM/CRC medical and deployment requirements for OCONUS.
  • US Passport with at least two years remaining
  • Obtain and Maintain Kuwait Work Visa
  • Must have a current DoD SECRET.

Responsibilities

  • Provide management and asset visibility, through the use of all specified ammunition management automation sites and systems to include but not limited to, Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS), Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS), Munitions History Program (MHP), National Level Ammunition Capability (NLAC).
  • Identify shortages and recommend resupply actions, monitor on hand stocks for theater war reserves, operational and training ammunition, and keep accountability and visibility of all munitions within US CENTCOM
  • Track the shipments of ammunition by air, ground, and by sea vessel within the theater.
  • Provide Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft PowerPoint slides that show ammunition stock levels.
  • Perform as a troubleshooter for issues involving Class V schedule shipments by air, ground, and sea vessel within theater.
  • Provide analysis of ammunition pallet shortages by destination
  • Receive, evaluate, and approve/disapprove Ammunition Basic Load (ABL) requests after analyzing the unit’s authorizations.
  • Track ABL request status and provide up to date status.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in ammunition operations and contingency planning.
