About The Position

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is hiring an Ammunition Handler to support program efforts at the U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground in Utah. The position serves as an ammunition accountability specialist responsible for conventional and non-standard ammunition facilities. It provides guidance on munitions receiving, storage, and shipping, and maintains the installation ammunition stock record account, including formal accountability for ammunition, components, explosives, grenades, pyrotechnics, small arms ammunition, and customer-related munitions that are non-standard to military specifications. The Ammunition Handler conducts inventory issue and receipt, inventory control, reconciliation, requisitioning, and audit-trail maintenance; records and reports accountability information and discrepancies; and inputs material receipt data into the automated supply system. The role evaluates storage, inventory, re-warehousing, documentation, and stock-issue matters and advises managers on resolving related problems. It considers storage capacity and allocation, hazard-class and division compatibility, and munitions requiring intensive tracking through systems such as TACTMIS. The position also performs warehousing work involving ordnance movement, physical inventory, storage arrangement, inspection, loading, and packaging. Processes may be manual, technical, or mechanically assisted. The handler operates automated munitions-accountability systems and may use the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and AIT scanning tools. The role requires compliance with applicable local, state, and federal procedures, safety and environmental requirements, and maintaining clean, secure storage and work areas. Work is mostly indoors in an industrial setting, though outdoor field work in changing weather may be required. Duties involve frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, carrying, pulling, and other physical activities; handling heavier items may also be required. Work may involve dangerous or moving machinery and power or hand tools. Appropriate PPE must be worn for applicable tasks. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
