About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing evaluations and preventative and predictive maintenance on refrigeration systems. The technician will monitor system performance, replace components using safe LOTO procedures and in accordance with the PSM program, and troubleshoot equipment to recommend corrective action. Daily logging of all performed work into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is required. The technician will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot various components of ammonia refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels, re-circulators, purgers, evaporators, and valves. This position is for the 3rd shift, with typical work hours from 11 PM to 8 AM.

Requirements

  • RETA 1, or equivalent industrial ammonia refrigeration training such as Stellar, Frick, Lanier/GCAP, or employer training program
  • 1+ year experience operating and maintaining Ammonia Refrigeration systems required.
  • 1+ year experience with electrical low and high voltage circuits required.
  • Strong math skills and technically savvy.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and perform evaluations and preventative and predictive maintenance on refrigeration systems according to PM List and instructed by leadership.
  • Monitor system performance.
  • Replace components within the refrigeration's system, with safe LOTO procedures and in accordance with PSM program.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and recommend corrective action.
  • Complete work orders and PMs ensuring all performed work is logged into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) (APSM) daily.
  • Operate, maintain and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels, re-circulators, purgers, evaporators, valves, etc.
  • Perform all other relevant duties to the job.
