This role involves scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance and service, including working with outside contractors to troubleshoot and repair ammonia refrigeration systems, HVAC, water heating systems, and boiler/condenser water chemical systems. You will also perform daily, weekly, monthly, and/or annual refrigeration system, facility, and building inspections, along with assigned work orders. Maintaining refrigeration logs and records documenting time, material, and parts is crucial. The position is responsible for housekeeping of all assigned areas, including the ammonia refrigeration engine room, maintenance shop area, and chemical/parts storage area. Timely work order execution based on assigned priority is expected. You will operate forklifts and aerial platforms as needed, completing daily Powered Industrial Truck Inspections to ensure safe operation and reporting any concerns to the maintenance manager or shift supervisor. Understanding and following Good Manufacturing Practices, Saputo's food safety, quality programs, and regulatory requirements is essential. Adherence to industry practices, SOPs, LOTO procedures, and other safety guidelines is required. Promptly reporting all potential quality, food safety, and workplace safety hazards to the management team is expected. You will attend and participate in all required training, shift meetings, and committees. This role requires working weekends and/or holidays based on business needs and task completion timelines. All other duties as assigned will also be part of the responsibilities.
