About The Position

The Ammo Loading Technician II operates, monitors, and maintains ammunition loading equipment to produce high-quality ammunition safely and efficiently. The role involves following established procedures, maintaining a clean work area, and contributing to production goals while upholding safety, quality, and performance standards.

The technician inspects ammunition and components, primes, packages, and labels products, records production information, and performs basic housekeeping and preventative maintenance. The role also supports material handling and inventory, communicates with team members and supervisors, and participates in continuous improvement efforts.

This position is based in Sheridan, Wyoming, in a manufacturing/factory environment. Applicants must be at least 18 and successfully complete pre-employment testing, including drug and alcohol screening, physical requirements, and a background check. The role has a production growth path based on a skill matrix developed with a supervisor, with advancement tied to increasing skills, flexibility, and responsibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Commitment to safety and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and dependability.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Successfully complete pre-employment testing, including drug and alcohol screening, physical requirements, and a background check.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load, operate, and monitor ammunition production equipment.
• Inspect rounds and components for defects or irregularities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Prime, package, and label ammunition according to procedures.
• Record production data accurately and maintain documentation.
• Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance on machines and work areas.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate with team members and supervisors about progress, issues, or improvements.
• Assist with material handling and inventory as needed to maintain workflow.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and suggest process enhancements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Meet production, safety, and quality goals assigned by the Ammunition Lead during performance coaching.
