The City of Sugar Land is seeking a full-time AMI Program Analyst in the Utilities Department. We pay our AMI Program Analyst a starting salary of $61,173 – $70,345 depending on your qualifications and experience. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Applied Science, or related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience meter operations.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Experience with data analysis
Valid Texas Class “C” Driver License

Nice To Haves

Experience with water utilities preferred, but not required
Experience with GIS and spatial analysis
Municipal government experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist the advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) program with the collection, analyzation, and visualization of water meter and water usage data.
Obtain an in-depth understanding of the department’s workflow and the data generated from these department processes.
Create and maintain real time dashboards and maps
Assist in designing, developing and performing geographic analysis for special studies and projects
Maintains data collected from various sources to compile water usage, advanced metering and other utilities reports.
Provides analysis, cost analysis, and technical review on this data.
Recommend strategies and resource allocation to ensure program effectiveness.
Provide recommendations for strategic projects by conducting research, performing statistical analysis, and preparing formal and ad-hoc reports for city management.
Noting trends, atypical situations, or other issues that may require special attention or procedures.
