About The Position
LTC is an interpreting agency looking for contracted Amharic language interpreters in Nashville, TN. You will accept appointments on an as needed basis. The ideal interpreter has 3 years of experience interpreting and has experience in a variety of medical settings, social work, education and workplace settings, among others. As an Independent Contractor Interpreter, you will not be an employee of LTC. Rather you will function as a vendor, providing language interpretation services on an IRS Form 1099 basis. Candidate must live within commuting distance of Nashville, TN.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of interpreting experience
- Ability to keep accurate records
Nice To Haves
- Interpreting certifications, preferred
- Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site, in-person interpretation.
- Be a liaison using the client’s preferred language
- Accurately interpret appropriate to the setting and audience.
- Comply with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA.
