About The Position
Ray of Life Collective is seeking a passionate and dependable AmeriCorps Horse Rider/Trainer to support our equine programs while serving the community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with horses, spending time outdoors, supporting youth and community programs, and developing hands-on horsemanship and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Passion for horses, youth development, or community service
- Comfortable working outdoors and around horses
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Must successfully complete a required background check
Nice To Haves
- Reliable transportation is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with riding instruction and horse training activities
- Help care for horses, including feeding, grooming, and daily wellness checks
- Support equine learning, therapy, and youth development activities
- Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming barn and riding environment
- Assist with daily equine program operations
- Develop skills in horsemanship, animal care, leadership, and community service
