Under low to moderate supervision and according to established nursing standards, performs professional nursing services in an office or clinic setting. Assists physician or other licensed practitioner with diagnostic and treatment procedures. Performs routine patient care and education activities. Some ancillary functions included. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served in assigned area. This is a clerical and clinical position that will perform both rooming and check-in/registration. It involves independently triaging complex patients, processing clinical information, and working collaboratively with Mercy Resources to implement a plan of care. The role also includes patient education, case management, and ensuring the clinic environment supports quality clinical practice. The nurse will also oversee the ongoing clinical performance of ancillary staff and act as a resource to other health team members.
