The Ambulatory Program Assistant Coordinator (APAC) assists Registered Nurses (RNs) with the unique needs of the patient population. This role involves performing clinical functions such as taking vital signs, reviewing medications, and pending medication refills. The APAC also supports RNs with administrative tasks and provides general assistance. Under the direction of a manager or designee, the coordinator supports clinic functions by retrieving medical records, managing Epic In Baskets, obtaining prior authorizations, and assisting with procedures. The position also involves ensuring effective and efficient clinic operations through consistent and accurate communication with team members, referring providers, and patients, and assisting with the collection of patients' physical, psychological, social, and cultural data according to practice standards.
