Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments
- Provide education
- Manage triage
- Coordinate care
- Support special exams
- Provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards
- Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level
- Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services
- Assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities
