Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacy Prior Authorization Pharmacist
About The Position
This Pharmacist position is responsible for completing ambulatory infusion prior authorizations and entering medication therapy plans into Epic. The role involves working with a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to evaluate medication requests, ensuring adherence to guidelines, facilitating and completing the prior authorization process in a timely manner, entering medication therapy plans into Epic, and communicating with medical teams as needed. The ideal candidate will be motivated, possess a wide clinical knowledge base, excellent communication and time management skills, and be able to work in a team environment to provide safe and efficient care to patients through timely completion of prior authorizations. This role requires follow-through on all assigned tasks, accountability for assigned work metrics, and a commitment to optimizing medication access for patients.
Requirements
- PharmD or RPh
- SC pharmacist license in good standing
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with Epic EMR
- Previous experience with Epic therapy plans
- Previous experience with infusion medications
- Previous experience with completion of prior authorizations
