Ambulatory Infusion Clinic Nurse
About The Position
LUX Infusion is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered infusion care in an infusion suite and other care settings as needed. The nurse supports patients through safe administration of infusion therapies and related care, helping them feel informed and supported. This is a full-time role scheduled for 40 hours per week; schedule and location may vary based on business needs. The position operates in a fast-paced environment and requires prioritizing competing demands, managing multiple tasks, and seeking guidance when appropriate. Local travel may be required to support patients.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- IV certification and experience with central line management.
- At least 2 years of RN experience.
- CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.
- Willingness to travel locally to support patients.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Home infusion, critical care, emergency department, or similar RN experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- PICC, port, or midline certification.
- Multi-state licensure.
Responsibilities
- Insert, monitor, and discontinue IVs, including providing care for PICC lines, ports, and midlines.
- Administer prescribed infusion therapies, medications, and blood products.
- Monitor patient responses, obtain vital signs, and perform assessments.
- Educate patients and caregivers about infusion therapy and IV care.
- Perform venous phlebotomy as needed.
- Complete accurate clinical documentation and nursing notes.
- Coordinate schedules and communicate with patients, families, providers, and care teams.
- Maintain compliance with safety, ethical, and regulatory standards and LUX Infusion policies.
- Participate annually in required legal and ethical compliance training.
- Support the organization’s mission, vision, and values through integrity, dedication, compassion, enthusiasm, collaboration, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Assist directly or coordinate appropriate assistance to ensure access to LUX Infusion services for individuals with disabilities.
