About The Position

The Multidisciplinary Trauma Clinic is a comprehensive clinic that supports West Michigan’s only level one trauma center. Our clinic includes burn, orthopedic trauma, acute care surgery, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Our goal is to provide exceptional, convenient, and comprehensive care to patients who have suffered a traumatic injury. For convenience of the patient, we can offer multiple appointments with different trauma specialty providers in one location. We are a fast paced, complex, team-based office that works closely with one another to provide the most optimal care for our patients. We rely heavily on each other to ensure our clinic runs smoothly. Patient care is at the center of what we do. We have an enjoyable and fun-loving culture here at the Multidisciplinary Trauma Clinic. Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days

Responsibilities

• Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Provider or Registered Nurse (RN) in the examination and treatment of patients to facilitate clinic flow and provide excellent patient care.
• Performs basic skills per department guidelines and policies; communicate observations to members of the health care team.
• Rooming patients, collecting vitals, and assisting in minor office procedures.
• EPIC In basket work.
• Processing FMLA and short-term Disability work.
• Answering phones.
