Ambulatory Clinical Tech Pediatric Endocrinology
About The Position
This role is within the Pediatric Endocrinology department, specializing in children’s diabetes, thyroid concerns, hormones, and other endocrinology issues. The clinic is part of Corewell Health's network of over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan. The team consists of approximately 50 members, including physicians, APPs, RNs, Certified Diabetic Educators, Registered Dieticians, Social Workers, Medical Assistants, and Ambulatory Clinical Technicians. The team fosters a collaborative and supportive environment, celebrating successes and working together to serve the community. This position is located at the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Outpatient Clinic.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
Responsibilities
- Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Provider or Registered Nurse (RN) in the examination and treatment of patients to facilitate clinic flow and provide excellent patient care.
- Performs basic skills per department guidelines and policies.
- Communicate observations to members of the health care team.
- Rooming patients.
- Collecting vitals.
- Assisting in minor office procedures.
- EPIC In basket work.
- Processing FMLA and short-term Disability work.
- Answering phones.
