Ambulatory Clinical Tech Neurology Part Time
About The Position
This role is for an Ambulatory Clinical Tech in Neurology, working part-time. The Neurosciences team is a collaborative group of physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff covering multiple subspecialties including Neurosurgery, Epilepsy, Neurovascular Stroke, General Neurology, and Movement Disorders. They provide both inpatient and outpatient care. The General Neurology team serves as the initial point of contact for Neurology care, assessing patient needs and determining if further subspecialty care is required. Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering diverse opportunities for learning and specialization.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
Responsibilities
- Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Provider or Registered Nurse (RN) in the examination and treatment of patients to facilitate clinic flow and provide excellent patient care.
- Performs basic skills per department guidelines and policies; communicate observations to members of the health care team.
- Rooming patients, collecting vitals, and assisting in minor office procedures.
- EPIC In basket work.
- Processing FMLA and short-term Disability work.
- Answering phones.
