This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position for an Ambulatory Clinic RN in Urology. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The position requires continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, administering medications and treatments, demonstrating effective communication, and pursuing professional development. Adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics and appropriate delegation are also essential. Accurate and timely EHR documentation is required. The nurse may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs. The role requires knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patients served, including understanding growth and development over the life span and assessing data reflective of patient status and needs.
