About The Position

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy cardiology clinic interacting primarily with patients undergoing treatment and procedures for cardiac arrhythmia and device implantation. Our nurses rely on their strong assessment and critical thinking skills when caring for patients in the office and via telephone triage. They collaborate with all members of the care team to provide the highest quality and comprehensive care. Requirements

  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong interest in cardiology/electrophysiology
  • Desire to work in a rapidly changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards.
  • Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
  • Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
  • Telephone triage, rhythm interpretation, patient education, and strong computer skills.
