About The Position

The Ambassador plays a vital role in ensuring every guest feels welcomed, cared for and valued. Reporting directly to the Director, Guest Operations, this role is a dynamic and engaging presence in the hotel’s front-of-house operations. This role is centered around hospitality excellence, proactive guest engagement, and seamless coordination of arrival and departure experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in business, hospitality, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a guest facing role, preferably in a luxury or boutique hotel setting is an asset but not a requirement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect with guests and create meaningful experiences.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to interact with guests, colleagues and leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Vancouver’s local attractions, culture, and experiences is an asset.
  • Highly organized with a proactive approach to guest service.
  • Passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
  • A valid driver’s license and abstract is required.
  • This position requires the ability to stand, lift, carry, push/pull and transport items up to 25 lbs., including guest luggage and other service-related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact greeting all guests offering a warm, friendly and immediate welcome.
  • Maintain presence in the lobby as an ambassador, offering exceptional service to all guests.
  • Provide directional assistance to guests offering local knowledge with confidence.
  • Ensure timely delivery of guests’ luggage and personal items upon arrival and departure.
  • Handle guests’ luggage with care upon storage.
  • Coordinate and manage guest experiences such as guest cycling experiences, bike servicing, dry cleaning, etc.
  • Support the Front Office team during peak periods and assist with various operational needs.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with guests and employees.
  • Ensure guests’ safety is a priority by staying knowledgeable on hotel safety practices and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain hotel knowledge, such as hours of operations, amenities offered, room rates.
  • Other duties as required.
