About The Position

We are hiring an experienced and passionate AM Sous Chef at the Cassique Clubhouse, part of the Kiawah Island Club. Cassique features two dining venues, as well as unique culinary events showcasing live open-fire cooking. At Voysey's, our fine dining steak-centric concept features in-house dry-aged Prime steaks prepared on our custom wood-fire grill, alongside local seafood and handmade pastas. In the Living Room, our polished bar venue, expertly composed dishes are served with an emphasis on local products. Requirements

  • Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Be available to work mornings, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to support evening events and special functions as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Project a passion for cuisine and quality that inspires the team, always leading by example
  • Oversee daily morning culinary operations and ensure successful execution of all assigned outlets and events
  • Lead and participate in dinner production and prep, ensuring all mise en place and station readiness are completed to the highest standards
  • Direct and support lunch service operations, maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency throughout service
  • Assist in the planning and execution of private events, Member parties, holiday functions, and special culinary experiences
  • Oversee culinary operations for the Men's and Women's Locker Rooms, ensuring exceptional quality, presentation, and Member satisfaction
  • Manage food production and service for the Snack Bar and Comfort Station, maintaining high standards while delivering a seamless Member experience
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of Sunday Brunch service, including menu planning, staffing, and quality control
  • Collaborate with the Chef team on menu development, seasonal offerings, and special event programming
  • Provide training, supervision, and professional development for kitchen staff, ensuring personal growth and proper execution are achieved
  • Participate in the cooking process from production through service, working any position necessary to support the team
  • Assist with team organization, product inventory, ordering, and kitchen maintenance
  • Work closely with cooks and stewards to promote a positive, fun, yet efficient work environment
  • Partner with the Front of House team to ensure strong communication, staff engagement, and exceptional Member experiences
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
