About The Position

This role is responsible for completing planograms to brand standards, unloading trucks, and performing merchandise duties throughout the store. The team member will also be responsible for maintaining store recovery standards to deliver Brand Promises. This position requires availability for early morning shifts for trucks and store resets. Key responsibilities include assisting customers with shopping, locating products, and providing solutions, executing a fast and friendly checkout experience with proper cash handling, enrolling customers in the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and educating customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey. The role also involves assisting with Omni channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS), participating in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes, and performing merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the return/go-back process. Additionally, the team member will perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned, support shrink and safety programs, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs. The role requires interacting with others respectfully, remaining positive, promoting the organization's vision and values, and serving as a role model. Cross-training in Custom Framing selling and production is also part of the role, along with other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Available to work early morning shifts for trucks and store resets.
  • Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
  • Michaels requires all team members in this role to be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Custom Framing selling and production.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Planograms to brand standards.
  • Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store including maintaining store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.
  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
  • Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Responsible to complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return / go back process and general store recovery to ensure a well-merchandised and in-stock store.
  • Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations; promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values; project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.
