About The Position

This role is responsible for taking and serving guest orders promptly and according to the service manual. The AM Server (Barista) will also handle assigned set-up sidework, answer guest questions about the menu, operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system, and ensure food is presented correctly in terms of appearance, temperature, and portions before serving. Any other job-related duties as assigned will also be part of the responsibilities. Performance standards emphasize customer satisfaction through positive interactions, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor, and acting as a guest relations ambassador. Work habits should consistently meet or exceed hotel standards for procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance, with an adaptability to change and a willingness to learn. Safety and security are paramount, requiring adherence to hotel policies regarding key controls, lifting, chemical use, and reporting hazards.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable).
• Check food before serving it to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
