About The Position

Arcade attendants provide excellent customer service by helping guests play games, resolving game-play problems, and assisting in the prize redemption area. They maintain the arcade’s appearance and help ensure it remains safe and pleasant for guests. The role includes selling arcade cards and attraction passes, operating point-of-sale and arcade systems, and using required equipment safely and efficiently. Attendants may also repair games at different heights and levels and perform other related tasks assigned by management or supervisors.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to properly and safely operate the equipment used.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public, guests, and staff members.
• Must be firm, fair, consistent, and courteous to gain the respect and cooperation of the public.
• Positive attitude and ability to cooperate with other staff in a team effort and adhere to rules and regulations.
• Must have daytime and weekend availability.
• Able to perform routine physical activities involving considerable use of the arms, legs, and entire body, including bending, crouching, handling, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, twisting, and walking.
• Ability to work effectively at different heights and in tiring or uncomfortable positions for long periods.
• Able to work in a team environment as a team member and as a team leader.
• Able to work in wet and humid environments, moderate to loud noise, indoor conditions with up to 90% humidity and temperatures from 70°F to 120°F, and exposure to chemicals, fumes, dirt, odors, waste, and dust.
• Must wear a uniform.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with redeeming tickets for prizes.
• Assist guests with game play and game-play problems.
• Stock, display, and organize prizes.
• Keep prize displays full, clean, and presentable.
• Sell arcade cards, Hologate passes, and Dark Ride passes.
• Operate POS and arcade systems.
• Use required arcade equipment efficiently and safely.
• May repair games at different heights and levels.
• Maintain a safe and pleasant environment for arcade guests.
• Perform other tasks and related duties as assigned or required by management and supervisors.
