Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3–5 years of experience in alumni relations, community engagement, workforce development, or a related field
  • Demonstrated skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.
  • Creative problem solving
  • A commitment to being a lifelong learner, commitment to refining your craft
  • A knack for connecting with people across differences including parents, colleagues and students.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in education or youth development settings preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy at the high school
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with alumni through consistent outreach, events, and communication
  • Create opportunities for alumni to give back through mentorship, guest speaking, and career exposure activities
  • Support alumni with re-enrollment into college and apprenticeship programs
  • Design and manage systems to track alumni postsecondary enrollment, persistence and career outcomes
  • Analyze alumni data to inform school programming, workforce development initiatives and strategic planning
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date alumni databases
  • Plan and execute alumni events such as networking opportunities, panels, reunions and career workshops
  • Coordinate alumni participation in Career Week, internships and student-facing programming
  • Collaborate with school leaders and CCR staff to align alumni programming with student needs
  • Leverage alumni networks to identify internship, job and career exposure opportunities
  • Support the development of an alumni-to-career pipeline that aligns with Belmont’s workforce vision
  • Work closely with the Managing Director of External Affairs, College and Career Readiness staff, and school leadership to align efforts
  • Provide insights and updates on alumni engagement and outcomes to internal stakeholders
  • Support cross-functional initiatives that connect alumni engagement to student success goals
  • Attend schoolwide meetings
  • Establish relationships with current students and families
  • Manage budget for alumni-related expenses
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
