About The Position

The Alumni Engagement, Annual Fund & Career Pathway Coordinator is responsible for coordinating alumni engagement initiatives, annual fund operations, and grant-funded Career Pathway programming. The position develops meaningful alumni relationships, supports annual giving, plans and executes events, manages engagement communications, and coordinates career readiness initiatives for students. The role works collaboratively with Advancement, Academic Affairs, Student Engagement, faculty, employers, alumni, and campus partners to strengthen philanthropy, student success, career outcomes, retention, and graduation. The Career Pathway responsibilities are funded through a grant and are supplemental to the core Alumni Engagement and Annual Fund responsibilities. If the grant is discontinued, only the grant-funded duties will be removed, and employment continuation is not contingent upon the grant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in fundraising, alumni engagement, annual fund, career services, higher education, or related experience; equivalent experience considered.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and technology skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and occasionally work evenings, weekends, and limited travel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute annual fund campaigns across print and digital channels, including segmentation, data preparation, mail production, performance tracking, donation pages, and reporting.
  • Execute alumni engagement campaigns and maintain constituent engagement records in Raiser's Edge.
  • Coordinate alumni events including Homecoming, regional events, pop-up events, registrations, vendors, budgets, communications, evaluations, and post-event follow-up.
  • Develop monthly alumni e-newsletters, social media content, and engagement communications.
  • Coordinate Comet2Comet mentoring initiatives and alumni volunteer engagement.
  • Process gift deposits, first-time donor stewardship, returned mail, surveys, and departmental reporting.
  • Represent the University at alumni events and collaborate with campus partners to advance engagement and fundraising goals.
  • Maintain records of interactions with approximately 150 eligible students.
  • Support career exploration, experiential learning, retention, persistence, graduation, and employment outcomes.
  • Maintain required grant documentation including SCRIBE and assessment records.
  • Utilize Handshake, Comet2Comet, Comet Connect, and related technologies.
  • Coordinate resume workshops, mock interviews, employer visits, career fairs, panels, internships, networking opportunities, and Career Closet initiatives.
  • Collaborate with faculty, employers, alumni, and the Career Pathway Senior Coordinator to strengthen career pathways.
  • Monitor participant progress and prepare required grant reports.
  • Serve on committees as assigned.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and the University's mission.
  • Maintain professional development and recommend best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
