We provide specialized subcontracting and technical assistance services to support clients in the transport and aerospace industries. AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Houma, LA that is the leading provider of quality construction, manufacturing, engineering, repair, and conversion products and services to the marine industry.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 months of Aluminum (GMAW-P) welding experience.
  • Must pass a hands-on 3G/4G aluminum (GMAW-P) pulse welding test with the 3G position uphill progression and 4G entirely in the overhead position.
  • Proficiency in welding techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Weld together structural metal components as specified in blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions.
  • Obtain the appropriate tools needed for a particular job and subsequently set up their equipment.
  • Bind together structural metal components that have been pre-assembled and tacked into place.
  • Perform good, cosmetic sound welds.
  • Examine his/her work and may chip off excess weld, slag, and splatter with the appropriate tools (i.e. grinder, chipping hammer, etc.).
  • Leave little to no rework when the job is complete (i.e. cold rolls, pin holes, wraps, burn throughs, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot his/her equipment.
  • May gouge/grind to remove a member, make a seam sound, remove weld reinforcement, etc.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work/climb in elevations greater than 5'.
  • Must be able to wear/work a respirator when applicable.
