About The Position

This is a full-time seasonal role for Spring/Summer 2026, based at the remote Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park. It is an on-site living position, located 100 km from Jasper, surrounded by stunning glacier views and mountain adventure. The role is part of a destination that includes the Glacier View Lodge, dining outlets, retail, and the Glacier Adventure and Skywalk. Staff live on-site with provided accommodations and three hot meals per day. Requirements

  • 1-2 years bartending/cocktailing experience in high volume bar/restaurant setting
  • Hold applicable Provincial (ProServe/Serving it Right) credentials
  • Work ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key
  • Willing and able to work solo or as part of a team
  • An active listener and the ability to tell stories to guests
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs
  • Physically able to complete the duties required
  • Calm demeanor with conflict resolution skills
  • Committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards

Responsibilities

  • Serve guests in a welcoming, timely, and efficient manner
  • Handle cash, credit, and room charge payments making nightly deposits
  • Daily stock and clean the bar/lounge area
  • Maintain strong knowledge of menus, local beer, wine, spirits and culinary specials
  • Craft specialty cocktails using local & regional Spirits and pour local beer and wine
  • Assists in the welcoming, bussing, and serving of guests in the lounge, dining room, and lobby as needed
  • Listen to guest concerns and resolve issues to the best of your ability
  • Follow federal, provincial, and company policies/regulations for serving alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner
  • Keep record of potential safety and maintenance issues and communicate details to Management
  • Assist as needed with set up of rooms for special events, meetings, conferences and banquets
  • Offer assistance to guests and teammates where needed
  • Perform other duties as requested by Management
