About The Position

State Street is seeking a Vice President-level independent contributor for its Alternative Investments Transformation team. The role works closely with Alternative Investments technology and internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions for internal operations and clients. The successful candidate will quickly learn existing solutions, manage multiple diverse assignments, and deliver projects on time while working effectively under pressure. The Vice President leads business, process, and data analysis for complex data and visualization projects. They consult with business unit management to clarify requirements, evaluate solutions that fit existing technologies and strategic direction, and provide subject matter expertise on State Street production processes, controls, and operations. The role also communicates decisions and project progress across peers, development teams, business teams, senior management, scrum teams, business owners, and product stakeholders, and identifies requirements specific to production implementation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
8+ years of proven experience.
Ability to analyze and interpret large, complex datasets in varying formats to validate data completeness, integrity, and accuracy; investigate root causes of data issues; identify improvement opportunities; and produce clear, compelling reports for different audiences.
Strong Excel skills.
Ability to create visual models that support analyses, such as workflow diagrams.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent deliverables amid shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
Results-oriented ownership mentality.
Strong technology insights and demonstrated ability to work across business lines.
Strong business-level analysis skills involving business processes, workflows, and operations, and information-level analysis skills involving how data and information are stored and maintained.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to facilitate shared understanding of problems and possible solutions.
Strong critical-thinking skills, including considering stakeholder needs and asking probing questions to surface underlying needs.
Strong interpersonal communication, collaboration, facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Lead business, process, and data analysis for complex data and visualization projects.
