About The Position

The Hedge Fund Accounting, Assistant Vice President will be responsible for NAV delivery, client service, and oversight of the global hedge accounting team. This role involves participating in and/or leading various client-facing and internal projects, as well as being involved in regulatory work, training, and annual audits. The team is part of State Street Alternative Investments (SSAI), which provides asset owners and managers with essential financial tools for effective investment solutions. These tools include core custody, accounting, fund administration, shareholder recordkeeping, and complete operations solutions and servicing for alternative assets such as OTC derivatives, private equity, and real estate, helping clients make better investment choices and act on growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science required
  • 8+ years of hedge fund accounting, fund accounting, hedge fund of fund, or audit experience
  • Complex allocation knowledge, required
  • Geneva experience, required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, preferred
  • Majority experience in hedge, preferred
  • Good excel knowledge, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform final review and sign off on NAV packages
  • Manage hub location delivery of NAV work
  • Perform client management & oversight
  • Execute administrative tasks & projects client related and non-client related
  • Support any new technology rollouts that are related to the NAV team
  • Handle client initialization and transition processes
