This role supervises a team of administrators responsible for providing accounting, administration, and investor servicing to investment companies and advisers. The supervisor acts as a trusted advisor to clients, continually assessing changing business strategies and providing expertise, tools, and information to support investment growth. The position also serves as the escalation point for all assigned clients, directing issue resolution and process changes to meet client needs. Key tasks include preparing or reviewing work-papers, call and distribution letters, calculating carried interest, allocating profits and losses according to Fund Governing Agreements, and preparing or reviewing management fee calculations and supporting schedules. Additionally, the role involves preparing or reviewing work paper files for accuracy and completeness, covering capital activity, income and expense accruals, and investment activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of experience in alternative investments industry

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, PCS (Investran) and/or Cascade
  • Basic knowledge of Advent applications
  • General knowledge and understanding of portfolio accounting and the investment management industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven team-oriented, leadership and organizational skills
  • CPA or CFA certification

Responsibilities

  • Supervises a team of administrators who are responsible for providing accounting, administration and investor servicing to investment companies and advisers.
  • Serves as trusted advisor to clients by continually assessing changing business and strategies, as well as providing expertise, tools and information to focus on growing investments.
  • Acts as the escalation point for all clients assigned to the team and directs issue resolution and process changes to support client needs.
  • Prepare or review work-papers, prepare call and distribution letters, calculate carried interest, and allocate profits and losses in accordance with Fund Governing Agreement.
  • Prepare or review management fee calculations and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare or review work paper files for accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, income and expense accruals and investment activity.
